System Notes

In this article, you will learn about 'System Notes' and where you can find them.

'System Notes' are created automatically on a matter-specific basis when certain actions are performed, such as creating/editing tasks or changing the assignee of a particular matter. 

Not all actions result in a corresponding system note being created.

Getting Started

To access the 'System Notes' for a particular matter, navigate to the matter and hover over the 'File Notes' icon  and then click on 'System Notes', as shown below.

You can use 'System Notes' as a way of auditing work done within a matter. 

There are permissions around who can see a System note and they cannot be edited. Any changes to file notes will be recorded in the 'System Notes'.

Using Filters

Use filters to find specific notes and to see a history of items for the matter.
