If you have not yet created a matter type for marketing activities you will need to add one first.
TIP: You only need to do this once. If you already have a matter type for Marketing Activities set-up you don't need to do this step. |
Go to Admin > Matter Types > Create new Matter Type.
Create a new matter type called "Marketing Activities" make sure to turn on use for marketing events. Add a primary participant type and hit save.
Go back to the marketing campaign matter you have already created and you will notice that you can now see the option to add a marketing campaign at the bottom of the campaign overview screen.
Click on marketing activities to create a new marketing activity.
The name of the matter is the name of your marketing activity, for example, Facebook. Click create matter.
You will then notice that this marketing activity is added to the campaign.
Click on the marketing activity name to edit the activity. Click on edit activity.
Edit the details of the activity making sure to match up the marketing medium with the correct drop-down option.
Title | Description |
Campaign | Will default to your marketing campaign, you only need to select the drop-down if you have more than one marketing campaign. |
Start Date | Start Date for the marketing activity (should pre-fill with the details of the marketing campaign if you ticked the option to make marketing campaign/activity dates the same). |
End Date | End Date for the marketing activity (should pre-fill with the details of the marketing campaign if you ticked the option to make marketing campaign/activity dates the same). |
Budget Cost | Your budget for this marketing activity |
Forecasted Income | Your expected income from the marketing activity |
Marketing Medium | Should have a drop-down of the marketing mediums that you have set-up. MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE DROP-DOWN THAT MATCHES YOUR MARKETING ACTIVITY. |
Click save.
Repeat for each marketing activity you would like set-up
Adding Marketing Mediums

Next, you need to add the same marketing mediums as described above.
Go to Admin > Additional Settings > Marketing Mediums
Click on the green add marketing medium button
Create a new marketing medium for all the marketing activities that you will be adding to your campaign, for example, facebook, website, word of mouth, yellow pages.
Click Save.
Repeat as required.
