Tracking your banking accounts in Actionstep can help you streamline your financial processes by providing a centralized location for monitoring your different accounts and operational expenses. Actionstep provides a Banking page, which lists all your accounts and gives you options for interacting with them.

When viewing this page, each non-trust bank account and credit card that you have in the system will be displayed in the order that they appear in your general ledger.

To access the Banking page:

  • In Actionstep, go to Accounting > Banking. The Banking page appears.

A.  Account details: This area shows the high-level details about the account. You can also click the account name to view transactions for it.

B.  Balance: This area shows today's account balance.

C.  Balance history: Hover your mouse over any area of this graph to view specific daily balances for the past three months.

D.  Account options: Click this icon to view a list of tasks you can perform for the account, such as viewing transactions, reconciliations, deposit slips, etc. You can also create client or firm receipts, withdrawals, payments, etc.

E.  Electronic holding account:  Select this option to include any electronic holding bank accounts in this list. Electronic holding accounts are used for electronic batches and are only available in some regions.
