Setting Up 3D Payment Authentication (Admin)

Modified on Tue, 30 Jul at 1:15 PM

In accordance with the EU’s Revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and UK’s Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules, Actionstep has implemented 3D secure payment processing. 3D Payment Authentication, also known as payer authentication, is a security protocol that helps to prevent fraud for online credit card and debit card transactions. It allows banks to request extra details from a card holder to verify a purchase.

This is necessary to further secure your account and meet compliance regulations in your country.

NOTE:  The instructions below are only applicable to UK & EU Actionstep users with administrative access.

To set up 3D Payment Authentication:

  1. In Actionstep, hover over the organization menu and choose Subscription Settings.
    The Subscription page appears.
  2. Select Change Credit Card.
  3. In the Credit Card Information field, re-enter your credit card details.

The system then checks whether your card is registered for 3D Secure. If 3D Secure enrollment is confirmed, you are then redirected to your card provider's 3D Secure page.

  4. On your provider's website, enter your unique password or a one-time authentication code, which will be emailed to your confirmed email address or sent to your confirmed phone number.

If your card authentication is successful, you will be redirected back to Actionstep for payment confirmation. Once your 3D Payment Authentication is set up and verified, you will not be prompted to re-enter these details again.

NOTE:  Contact Actionstep Support if you have any additional questions.
