LawToolBox maintains a database of court deadlines. The integration between Actionstep and LawToolBox allows you to import these said deadlines into matters within Actionstep. The process of importing deadlines is as simple as selecting a court and a trigger date - you will then be presented with a list of deadlines related to the selected trigger date.
In this article, you will learn how to configure and use the LawToolBox integration within your system.
Installation
You can install the LawToolBox add-on by visiting the Actionstep website:
https://www.actionstep.com/integrations/lawtoolbox
Please note that the LTB integration is only available for US users.
Select install to add to your system.
Be sure to select the right system if you have access to multiple.
Click on 'Next' to complete the installation.
Configuration
To configure the integration, navigate to: Admin -> Integrations -> LawToolBox Configuration
You'll need to select the default state and toolset on this page. Any changes to the LawToolBox rules will be shown on the following page: Admin -> Integrations -> LawToolBox Rule Changes
You can optionally choose to apply the rule changes to matters in-flight.
Using LawToolBox
Once you have completed the setup, users will have access to LawToolBox within matters via the 'Plugins' icon .
When you access LTB from a matter for the first time, you will be asked to enter in a court and select a toolset, with the additional option of linking one or more user calendars to the matter.
LawToolBox deadlines will also appear in any synced external calendars (eg. Outlook, Google, etc).
After saving, you will need to select a trigger date from which LTB will calculate the relative deadlines and save them to the matter - these will also be saved to any linked user calendars.
You can add additional toolsets to the same matter and adjust the deadlines by changing the trigger dates. Any changes will also be pushed to linked user calendars.
