You can generate custom documents using templates you've automated and uploaded to their related matter types. Information stored in Actionstep will be merged where it's needed in the completed document.
To generate a custom document:
- In Actionstep, view the matter you want to generate the document for. (See Editing a Matter for help.)
- Hover over the Documents menu icon and choose Generate from the list of options that appear.
The Generate window appears.
- Click the Choose template drop-down list and choose the document you want to generate.
- Review and change the Document date, if needed.
- Choose the Destination folder. These icons can help you navigate and find the folder you're looking for:
- In the After generating section, choose what you want to happen once the document is generated.
- Click Generate. The document is created and the action you selected is performed.
