Once you've created a credit note, you must apply it.
To apply a credit note:
- In Actionstep, click the global Create button and choose Apply Credit from the Billing section. (You may need to click Show all if you don't see this option.) The Apply Credit Note window appears.
- Click the Credit note drop-down list and choose the credit note you want to apply. The fields on the window are updated with details about the credit.
- In the list of invoices, find which invoice is to be credited and enter the amount to be credited in the Pay column. You can either click the arrow to allocate the full credit note against that invoice, or type the amount in the field.
- Click Save once finished. This amount will be credited against the invoice.
NOTE: Once saved, a payment will be issued against the invoice to either mark the invoice as partially or fully paid, depending on the amount credited. If you are using an accounting integration, the credit note will flow through to your accounting integration automatically.
