The Recent Activity panel on the Actionstep Home page shows a history of what is happening in Actionstep in real-time.
There are three options (located on the top-right corner of this panel) you can use to filter the activity feed:
- Mine shows only your own recent activities.
- Related shows activities for matters you are either assigned to or a participant of. In short, you can view what others are doing but still focus on only those matters that concern you.
- All shows all activity in Actionstep that you have permission to see.
TIP: Admins can hide some of these options using Menu Permissions, which can be accessed by going to Admin > Menu permissions (found on the right side of the Admin page). The menu name to be edited is Actionstep_Main_Menu. (Editing menu permissions is available to Practice Pro + Accounting users only.)
The following actions are typically listed in the Recent Activity feed:
- Action assigned changed
- Action created
- Action opened
- Document created
- Document folder created
- Document generated
- Document modified
- Action status changed
- Action step changed
- Task created
- Action modified
- Bank account reconciled
- Bank reconciliation started
- Email received
- Email Sent
- File note created
- File note updated
- GL Transaction deleted
- Participant created
- User logged in
- Purchase invoice payment created
- Purchase invoice payment deleted
- Purchase invoice posted
- Sales invoice payment created
- Sales invoice payment deleted
- Sales invoice posted
- Task deleted
- Trust transaction posted
- Trust receipt created
NOTE: This list of actions also depends on the user's permissions. If a user does not have permission to see a particular part of Actionstep, then updates happening in those areas will not be listed. For example, a user without Accounting permission would not see that a Bank Reconciliation would have been started or a General Ledger transaction has been deleted, while a user who does not have permission to see trust information will not see when a trust transaction is posted
