The Time Records Report is useful to see an overview of the work done by a participant or group of participants. This report can also be used to see an overview of the work done for a particular matter.
Accessing the Report
To find the Time Records Report head to Reports > Matter Reports > Select Time Records Report
Filters
Before you generate the report, there are a number of filters you can apply to control what results the report will give you.
Basic
Filter | Description |
Period | To and from dates can be selected to narrow down the report results. |
Date Field | Allows for the report to be run by Timesheet date, time entry entered date or invoice date. |
Note: Timesheet Date is the date of the time entry, time entry entered date is the date that time entry was added (for example, if you have backdated your time entry it will show the date actually entered not the date the time entry was attributed to and invoice date is the date the time entry was invoiced.
Layout Options
Report Type:
By default, the report is grouped by Participant Detailed However, this can be changed to group by:
- Action Detailed
- Summary by Matter
- Summary by Participant
- Daily Summary by Participant
Timekeeper:
With this option, you are able to narrow down your report to show a specific timekeeper / Multiple timekeepers or All timekeepers
Advanced
Filter | Description |
Matter | You can narrow down your report by selecting specific matter or multiple matters. |
Matter type | This filter allows you to select a specific Matter type. |
Output Options
You have a range of output options for this report, including viewing it on screen, downloading it as a PDF, or saving it as a Microsoft Excel file.
