In certain situations, you may need to revoke a user's access to the portal.  This article will provide you with a step-by-step process for revoking a user's access to the portal.

  1. Head to the matter for which you would to revoke the user's access

  2. Click on the Portal Icon

  3. You will see a list of users who currently have access to the portal for that particular matter. Identify the user you want to revoke access from and click on their name

  4. Untick the checkbox under Portal Access

  5. Click “Save”

The user will automatically receive an email notification informing them that their access to the portal has expired.

It's important to remember that you cannot close a matter if the client portal is still enabled for a user. If you attempt to close a matter with portal access still enabled for any user, you will receive a message indicating that there is a portal user associated with the matter. Therefore, before closing a matter, make sure to revoke portal access for all relevant users.
