To access the Firm Management dashboard:
- In Practice Management, go to Insights > Business Intelligence. The Insights page is displayed.
- Select Firm Management from the list of options on the left side of the page. The Firm Management Dashboard is displayed.
The Monthly Performance chart on the Firm Management dashboard tracks your firm’s monthly performance by showing how much work is still in progress (or WIP), how much has been billed, and how much has been collected for each month. It helps identify trends over time, such as growth in billing, collection efficiency, or accumulation of unbilled work. It provides insight into cash flow and operational performance. The chart covers 12 months of data, including the current month.
Each bar on the chart is broken down into three categories:
- Billed Fees: This part of the bar shows the billed fees between the first and end of the month.
- Collected Fees: This part of the bar shows the collected fees between the first and end of the month.
- Total WIP: This part of the bar shows the WIP in relation to fees only as at the end of that month.
Data is built from the WIP Fees, Billed Fees, and Collected Fees, which are covered in Summary Financial Breakdown: Firm Management Dashboard. This particular chart provides a visual way to compare the data.
Hover over the bar for each month to see specific breakout details.
