Requesting Payment for a Third Party from the Trust (or Client) Account

NOTE:  Trust requests can be enabled in all Actionstep system except for Australian customers that fall under the Queensland or Uniform regulations. If you are interested in this functionality, contact Actionstep Support to learn more.

NOTE:  UK users should refer to Creating a Client Account Payment or Payment Request (UK) for information on client account requests.

On behalf of your client. you can request to make a payment from a trust account to a third party. Issuing a payment request enables an approval process, ensuring that designated approvers review and authorize the transaction before it proceeds. This adds oversight, supports compliance requirements, and provides a clear audit trail, which is especially important for legal and regulatory purposes within Actionstep Practice Management.

You can also export a list of payment requests to share with your bank.
