Brief Description
This report shows a trail for accounting activity by item ID, date range, keyword, and entered by data.
Use Cases
This report is useful for seeing who did what in your system in terms of Accounting Activity.
Finding and Using the Report
- In Actionstep Practice Management, go to Reports > Accounting Reports. (Your menu may show Reports > Accounting Reports > Reports List.)
- In the Audit section, click Accounting Audit Trail. The report is displayed.

Available Filters
- Source: Choose the source account you want included in the report.
- Source Id: Enter the source ID you want to search on.
- Keywords: Enter a keyword you want to include in your search (e.g., invoice).
- Participant: Choose the participants you want included in the report.
- From / To: Enter the date range you want included in the report.
Report Output
- Audit Id: Shows a link to this transaction on the Audit Trail Detail Report, which includes the details about the specific transaction.
- Timestamp: Shows the date the action was taken.
- Participant: Shows the name of the user who completed the action.
- Notes: Shows a brief explanation of the transaction.
