Brief Description
The Account Entries report lists transactions for the selected general ledger accounts within a specified date range. If your report includes the Retained Earnings general ledger account and spans one or more financial year-end dates, the report also displays the retained earnings journal entry created for each financial year.
Use Cases
This report is useful when a need arises to examine all transactions in a particular GL account over time.

Note: When choosing your report filters, keep the following
in mind, particularly if you are running this report for all GL transactions
across
a
large date range:
• Up to 10,000 entries will be displayed on screen.
• 10,001–100,000 entries will be emailed as a CSV to the user.
• More than 100,000 entries will not generate a report. Please apply filters
to produce a smaller dataset.
- Date Range: Choose the date range you want covered in the report.
- Account: Choose one or more general ledger accounts.
-
Include child account details in report: Select this option to include all the children accounts for any parent general ledger accounts you've selected.
Note: If you select a header account and wish to report on all accounts under that header, select Include child account details in report. When selecting your accounts, you can filter on these to make your search easier for selection.
- Filter by Matters: You can select one or multiple matters. Only transactions which reference these matters will be displayed in the generated report.
- Transaction Reference: You can select only one transaction reference to include transactions of this reference type and then choose specific details about that reference from the Reference Value drop-down list. For example, if you select Check From as the Transaction Reference, choose the name of the user who submitted the check from the Reference Value drop-down list.

Additional Notes
It's recommended you don't include the entire financial year of transactions in your report since it may slow Actionstep's ability to generate the report. Instead, narrow your search to 6, 3, or 1 month periods.
