Chart of Accounts Report

Brief Description  

The Chart of Accounts Report provides a downloadable PDF of all the accounts listed in your general ledger. This report exists as a more useful alternative to printing the chart of accounts page.

NOTE:  If your organization is using divisions, the Chart of Accounts Report will only show accounts assigned to your current division. To see accounts assigned to a different division, you must first switch to that division. See Getting to Know the Accounts List to learn more.

 


Use Cases 

This report provides a holistic view of your Chart of Accounts, which makes it easy for you or your accounting team to review and update or change accounts as needed.

 


Finding and Using the Report

  1. In Actionstep Practice Management, go to Reports > Accounting Reports. (Your menu may show Reports > Accounting Reports > Reports List.)
  2. In the Financial section, click Chart of Accounts. The report is displayed.

When you select this report, it is automatically generated and saved to your computer as a PDF.

TIP:  You can view the Chart of Accounts page by going to Accounting > Accounts > Accounts List.

 


Available Filters

There are no filters associated with this report. When you select it, the PDF report is saved to your computer in your browser's default Downloads folder.

 


Report Output

  • Account: Shows the Account ID for the account shown in the report table row.
  • Account Name: Shows the name of the account that corresponds with the account ID in the Account column.

TIP:  Child accounts are indented below the parent.
