The most common reasons for requiring the addition of a system account is when setting up to use FX, or for setting up the AR & AP offsetting accounts for cash accounting.
For Example: (FX) The ActionStep System will have a linked account for Accounts Receivable in your Base Currency. If you then enable multiple currencies and make a sale in one of them, you will need an Accounts Receivables account in that currency. Please see the User Guide on Foreign Exchange for a list of the additional accounts required.
First, you must ensure that you have created the account in your Master Accounts list.
Then go to Admin > Accounting > System Accounts:
This will take you to the System Account Editor where you select the system account, currency and account you wish to map to.
Then click "Save".
