In Actionstep you have the option to be able to make sure that Alerts you create can be sent out a SMS or Text messages. In order to use this you will have to enable SMS for your database.
Enabling SMS for your System
There are two ways you can enable SMS for your Actionstep Database, either:
Through the Admin menu:
Go to Admin > General > SMS setup.
or, Through the Subscription Settings screen:
Go to the Subscriptions Settings page by clicking on the name of your company or database in the top left hand side of the Actionstep screen and choosing Subscription Settings. You will see a box to the right called Installed Extensions, under this will be a link reading SMS/TXT Messages. Click on this.

How to setup your contacts for SMS
Under each contact there is a field called TXT/SMS Number found under the phone numbers. You will have to populate this field for a SMS to be sent to a contact. Even if you have entered in a mobile number as one of the phone options above Actionstep will only use what is entered into this field. When entering numbers please make sure they include a country code at the front and do not include spaces.
