In this article, you will learn how to create and manage rate labels.
To access your list of rate labels, navigate to:
Admin -> Timekeeping -> Rate Labels
Editing a Rate
Actionstep offers a number of rate labels by default. To adjust these rates, click on the names of the rates. Doing so will open up the 'Edit rate label' pop-up window, on which you can specify the following settings.
Rate Label: The name of the rate label.
Entry Type: Determines the nature of the rate - fixed, hourly, etc.
Base Rate Value: The base value of this rate.
Active: A toggle that can be used to deactivate a rate label and remove it from the list of available rates when creating a time entry.
Customize Rate Value by Timekeeper: Allows you to customize this rate depending on the timekeeper it is associated to.
Creating a new Rate
To create a new rate label, click on the button in the top-right corner of this page. Doing so will open up the aforementioned 'Edit rate label' pop-up window.
When you apply a change to the 'Base Rate Value' of an existing rate label that has already been used, the previous base rate will still be available as a 'historic rate' when creating time entries.
