In this article, you will learn about the use of jurisdictional plugins within Actionstep's trust accounting module.
Trust accounting regulations vary between jurisdictions and so Actionstep offers a number of different 'plugins' that are specifically configured to assist you staying compliant under the regulations for your jurisdiction.
You are able to select your jurisdictional when you first configure trust accounting. You can do so by navigating to:
Admin -> Trust Accounting
When you expand the drop-down field for 'Jurisdiction' you will see the full selection of plugins that Actionstep currently offers. If your jurisdiction is missing from list, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
We strongly advise that you leave the remain settings for 'System Account Mapping' as is. These accounts already exist within the system and allow double entry for any trust-related transactions. If you still need to change the mapping for these accounts, please do so under the guidance of a qualified trust accountant.
Changing the Plugin
You may need to temporarily your jurisdictional plugin to a different one to accommodate for data fixes or to process an import. To do this, please contact email@example.com for assistance.
Please note that the above request will need to be lodged by an admin user with subscription authority.
