In this article, you will learn how to create a disbursement and view a list of them.
Creating a Disbursement
To create a disbursement, click on the 'Global Create Button' and then click 'Show all...'. Click 'Disbursement', available under the 'Timesheet' column.
This will open up the New Disbursement window in the form of a pop-up. Unlike tasks or time entries, disbursements must be associated to a particular matter.
You can use a pre-configured template to populate the details of the disbursement.
When creating disbursements, you must specify the 'Quantity', 'Unit of measure', and 'Unit price'. If you don't specify a different 'Income account', the system default will be used. The system default is determined via the Billing Settings.
When you are happy with your settings, click on 'Save' to create your disbursement. As with tasks and time entries, you can check the 'Create another' box to create another disbursement immediately afterwards.
To view a list of disbursements, hover over the Timesheet menu on the Global Navigation Bar and click on 'Disbursements list'. Doing so will take you a list view of all disbursements. As with the summary for time entries, you can use filters to find a specific entry.
